Adjacent to the city center of Eckernförde, between „Noor“ and „Förde“, there is a little gem called “Süderhake I”. Through the planning of the urban development project Binnenhafen – Nooröffnung, in which the connection between the inner lake and the Baltic Sea, which was closed in 1928, should be reopened and transformed for residential, tourism and leisure purposes, are currently twelve parcels of an allotment garden club fallow. They linger in an overgrown intermediate state, give information about individual self-realization as well as structures of community and recreation. With their microstructures, they refer to dichotomies between humans and nature and represent a contrast to the digitized everyday life.

Starting from this place I examined in collaboration with the artist Marte Kiessling relations of humans and nature, settings and translations and states of being in between which are in constant transformation.
