The site-specific intervention ULTIMATE GRAY / ILLUMINATING as a contribution to the group exhibition “Einrichtung Ausstellung” of the ´Kollektiv 2020` makes direct reference to the Pantone Colour of the Year 2021.

The results of trend-analytical research, including in the entertainment and film industries, in life and play styles, in social media as well as in the works of new artists, coupled with colour-psychological messages such as "strength and hope" and "deep thoughtfulness with a sunny outlook" have a major influence on product development and purchasing decisions in numerous industries.

With the reduction to differently arranged square basic shapes, the focus remains on the promising colour story of the Pantone Color Institute and questions the meaning and dependence of decisions. The existing built-in cupboard of the G2 Kunsthalle studio becomes a furnishing and exhibition situation and thus, in turn, the subject of current trend investigations.
